CA gig workers: Speak for yourself


You've probably seen the ads already: gig companies like DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, and Postmates are pushing Prop. 22, a ballot initiative that rewrite laws in the gig economy.
They've poured almost $200 million into the campaign.
That amount of money buys a lot of PR, like ads featuring workers as paid spokespeople. But in all the public debate around Prop. 22, we're not hearing nearly enough from the people whose opinions matter most: real gig workers.
Gig workers have a lot of different opinions about the laws in CA & what will work best. But no matter where we stand on issues like employee classification, there's one thing we all agree on — workers are the ones who should get to shape the future of the gig economy, not corporations or lobbyists.
